FlipFind is a Chrome extension that shows fair market value estimates on marketplace listings (Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp) while you browse.

What We Collect

Listing data only. When you view a marketplace listing, FlipFind sends the listing title and price to our backend API to compute a fair value estimate. We do not collect:

• Your name, email, or personal identity
• Your browsing history or URLs visited
• Your marketplace account information
• Cookies or authentication tokens
• Your location or IP address

How We Use Your Data

The listing title and price you send are used solely to:

• Query publicly available price data (eBay sold listings, Craigslist comps)
• Compute a fair value range and confidence score
• Return the estimate to your browser for display

Cached estimates (title hash → fair value) are stored for 24 hours to improve response times for similar queries. No personal data is stored.

Data Storage

• In-browser: Your configured backend URL is stored in chrome.storage.local. No other data is stored locally.
• Server-side: Cached price estimates (anonymized title hashes, not raw titles) are stored in memory or a database for up to 24 hours.

Third-Party Services

We query the following APIs to compute fair value:

• eBay Finding API — for sold listing prices (public market data)
• Craigslist — for comparable listing prices (public market data)

We do not share your data with any third parties beyond these API queries.

Your Rights

• You can clear all local data by removing the extension or clearing chrome.storage
• You can use a custom backend URL via the extension popup settings
• We do not sell or rent your data
